Fielding standards of Team India have certainly improved lately, with players like Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja often seen throwing themselves in the field.

In the recently concluded World Cup, in which team India reached the semifinals, Indian fielders set high standards for themselves and pulled off some crucial run outs and took fine catches.

Team India and Kings XI Punjab fielding coach, R Sridhar is quite with the way India has improved in the field. He also pointed out Ravindra Jadeja, who he considers among top-three in the World.

“We have quite few good Indian players, like Sanju Samson, whom I’ve worked with in the last five years,” Sridhar said. “He’s very exciting even with his fielding. Unmukt Chand is good, Manan Vohra is a terrific fielder.”

“Axar Patel is now an international (laughs). Ravindra Jadeja is among the top three fielders in the world, no doubt about it,” he insisted. “I can proudly say that. He is such a natural athlete.”
