ICC Test Rankings: All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja in top-20; MS Dhoni looks to improve

India’s Ravindra Jadeja is currently 18th in the latest Test all-rounders’ list released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The left-arm spinner is currently touring with the Indian team in Australia and has 141 rating points.

Meanwhile, skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who couldn’t play the opening Test against Australia at Adelaide Oval, is currently 31st in the batsmen’s rankings. Dhoni, however, will have a chance of improving as the touring party face Australia in Brisbane on December 16.

South Africa’s Faf du Plessis, who last played in whites against Zimbabwe in August this year, is currently 15th with 707 rating points, ahead of India’s talisman Virat Kohli. Kohli scored back-to-back centuries against the Aussies in Adelaide.

Left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha played his last Test for India more than a year ago against West Indies in Mumbai is India’s second highest ranked bowler in the longest format of the game, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar is currently at 37th position with 405 rating points.

Ojha is currently placed 14th, behind fellow Team India mate Ravichandran Ashwin, but ahead of Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan, with 684 rating points. The bowlers’ list is headed by Proteas speedster Dale Steyn, followed by Rangana Herath and Mitchell Johnson.
