Bhuvneshwar is nursing a hairline fracture in his left thumb. He sustained the injury in the fourth one-dayer against Australia when a David Warner shot stuck his left hand.
“BCCI medical team has confirmed that Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out of India’s tour of Australia after he fractured his left-hand thumb,” the Indian Cricket Board informed in the statement.
