KL Rahul Scores Maiden IPL Fifty for Royal Challengers Bangalore

KL Rahul continued his good form with the bat for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League 2016, and struck an unbeaten half-century, his first in the IPL, against Gujarat Lions.

The Karnataka-born Rahul, who came out to bat after the departure of AB de Villiers, hit four boundaries and three sixes in his 35  balls innings. He ended up making an unbeaten 51.

Rahul also made an unbeaten 121-run partnership with Virat Kohli for the third wicket, and helped the Royal Challengers in posting a competitive total at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot.

This was not all, as the 24-year-old also took a sensational catch of Ravindra Jadeja. Rahul took the catch nicely, diving low to his left off Shane Watson’s bowling in the final stage of the match.

Rahul, who has joined the Royal Challengers this season from Sunrisers Hyderabad, also contributed in previous matches. He made a scorching 14-ball 23 against Mumbai Indians.
