‘Man Of The Match’ Ravindra Jadeja Steers Saurashtra To Win Over Tripura in Ranji Trophy

An all-round performance from Ravindra Jadeja helped Saurashtra beat Tripura by by an innings and 118 runs in the Ranji Trophy. Jadeja was also named man of the match for his match-winning performance in Rajkot.

Jadeja fore well with both bat and well, scoring 91 runs in the first innings, while also taking 11 wickets in the match. He took a six-for in the first innings, while finishing the game with a fifer in the second.

The Indian all-rounder’s six-for in the first innings helped Saurashtra bundle Tripura for a paltry 103, while the visitors also surrendered in the second innings, managing just 86 runs. Tripura could only manage to score a total of 189-run in the match.

Earlier, Jadeja played a magnificent innings under under pressure, when Saurashtra had lost three early wickets. He looked in fine touch and helped his team to get out of peculiar situation.

Saurashtra were reeling at 66 for three when Jadeja arrived at the crease. He made a small partnership with Jaydev Shah, but his 146 runs stand with Sheldon Jackson saved the day for the home side.

Jadeja ensured that Saurashtra make a solid first innings total. He, however, was unlucky to have missed out on a well-deserved half-century when he was caught behind for 91
