‘MS Dhoni – The Untold Story’ to dedicate ‘Phir Se’ anthem to Team India

Team India is set to kick-off its World Cup campaign against archrivals Pakistan at the Adelaide Oval and to make the occasion extra special, the makers of ‘MS Dhoni – The Untold Story’ are to dedicate an anthem ‘Phir Se’ to the Indian cricket team.

MS Dhoni biopic is directed by acclaimed director Neeraj Pandey, while the ‘Phir Se’ song is composed by MM Kreem and written by Manoj Muntashir.

“The idea was to sum up the mood and emotion for the entire nation,” Neeraj Pandey revealed. “Phir Se is an anthem, plea, prayer, dream all rolled in one. And, MM Kreem (composer) saab and Manoj Muntashir (lyricist) have done this beautifully.”

Sushant Singh Rajput, who is portraying MS Dhoni in the biopic, which is set to for October 22 release, said the makers want to show their passion towards the Indian team and he is excited for the launch that will take place on February 15.

“Phir Se is our tribute to the inherent passion our players have for the country and the love we have towards our own team,” Sushant said. “We just want to tell it to them through this wonderful track that they have always made us proud and we always are with them unconditionally!!”

Arun Pandey of Inspired Entertainment said the song echoes the mood of billions of people that are supporting the Indian team for the World Cup.

“Phir se is the mood of the nation and here we are… echoing the sentiments of over a billion people of the nation and dedicating the Song on behalf of ‘MS Dhoni – the untold story’ team to the Indian cricket team,” Pandey said.
