Mohit Sharma stars in Haryana’s win over Maharashtra in Ranji Trophy

Mohit Sharma is on a right track for the forthcoming challenging months as the pacer finished with a fifer in Ranji Trophy to help Haryana beat Maharashtra on Wednesday at Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium, Lahli.

The India international could only manage one wicket in the first innings, but came out all guns blazing in the second to rip apart Maharashtra’s middle-order. Mohit finished with an impressive figure of five for 45 in the second innings, with six wickets in the match.

Mohit, who made his one-day international debut against Zimbabwe, is in line for representing Team India in the fast-approaching World Cup 2015. The pacer has, till now, taken eight wickets in 11 matches with four for 22 been his best figures.

The 26-year-old Chennai Super Kings pacer, along with Ashish Hooda (four for 40), ensured Haryana walk away with all six points from the round.
