MS Dhoni was praised for his participation in the inaugural Cricket for Heroes charity match in London, but what comes as a more admirable news is that the Indian Army would also be benefited from Captain Cool’s participation.
The Cricket for Heroes charity match was organised to help wounded British Army soldiers and their families, and managed to raise 300,000 pounds for the cause.
Out of the 300,000 pounds raised from the event, 20,000 pounds would be given to the Indian Army through the MS Dhoni Charitable Foundation for helping the wounded Indian soldiers.
MS Dhoni played for the Cricket for Heroes XI, helping his side in registering a four-wicket win over the Rest of the World XI in a closely-contest game in London.
